CAMPAIGNING IS OVER(:

i hope you've all seen the effort we've put in during the past week.
screaming our lungs out during recess (alison alison alison woohoo!)
waking up bright and early for meetings in the morning (the family lounge has become our favourite place)
going class to class just to give out alison's souvenirs (and risk getting scolded by teacher. gah. sorry to the classes which didnt get it! cause you guys were having tests or simply cause the teacher's wrath was not to be incurred.)
sticking stickers all over everyone and getting spammed by other campaign team's stickers (k this was fun. really)
going to the staffroom and being unfailingly courteous while asking for support and for teachers to stick stickers. (teachers are impt mans, votesx4 weightage)
putting up the posters all around the school such that i see alison's face everywhere (haha, the most ingenious by the canteen gang, who pasted the posters on the permanently switched off tvs)
singing remix (shirley's wonderful version) of 'when you look me in the eye' complete with exaggerated gesticulations on wednesday's assembly. (not to mention the small dry run we had in the morning which probably made anyone who heard us laugh aloud)
throwing sweets and chocolates at ppl while not eating them at all. the temptation is hard to resist i assure you. (oh yum fruit plus and m&ms)
preparing the video which included pictures of alison from all over. school, moelc, the arena, rmun (ohyea!), exco meeting etcetc with juniors seniors teachers (wahaha) classmates cca mates schoolmates etcetc! (which was a lot of fun cause the part with the campaigning pictures was from my phone which is greatly honoured and currently basking in the glory for being of use to alison.)
preparing and memorising the script which meant a lot of time and stress. i mean we all noe how important the rally assembly is. alison was up there giving her speech with a slight fever and still did so well! (we are proud of you alison! with emotive words.)

that's why, on monday, when exco members give you the voting slip. vote from you heart. dont let any connections or sweets or souvenirs or fear of being exploited waver you from voting for the best. im not going to tell you the best choice is alison, though i really think that she IS the best choice. but truly, from the bottom of your heart, make the right choice and cross the box (preferably the one next to alison:D)

for me, i wasnt sure who i was going to vote for. alison didnt make it a must for us all to vote for her as we were in her campaign. she gave us the right of choice. and today i can proudly tell you my vote goes to alison.
this might be a little to late. but let me just talk abt how i knew her
i came to noe of her existence when i was in sec1 as we were in the same jap class. but i personally got to noe her in sec2justice (the aircon classroom i so miss) with the 3 other monitors, she coordinated us as a class, kept everything intact, and was always sure not to miss anyone out in anything. even in the moelc she's keen to help and willing to be helped. to let go of pride and serve as a leader.
so this year, when i learned that alison was joining my team for rmun (a mock UN conference) i was elated. it was a lot of fun working with her. being serious and crapping at the right times. through the rmun days when i was working esp close with her, i felt the exuberance radiating from her even when the rest of us were dejected or demoralised. she encouraged us and at the end, i have to say the experience working with her in a group was most enriching. i dont think i'll ever meet anyone as optimistic.

i noe 4 out of 5 candidates personally, though maybe not as well. and i think they are all cutting edge leaders in their own rights.
however, for councilor president, i believe that alison is my best choice, and hopefully yours too.

fruit plus and m&ms,
abigaillai(:
